The thing about kids is that they follow by example, so you being the parent need to set the precedent so that they feel more motivated and encouraged to actually get started in exercise. There are a lot of kids today who go to school and come home to play video games on the couch all day without ever exercising whatsoever.
Try to get your child involved in a sport or tried to do an activity with them together such as jogging in the morning. If you can’t do this because you have to get your child to school so early, you can of course do an activity with them when they come home.
A lot of kids who are obese and overweight absolutely love to wear stylish clothes because how cool they will feel wearing them so they will definitely thank you after it’s all over, especially if they are in high school and want to look like the popular kids around them.
